Throughout the course of litigation, there are no out-of-pocket expenses for you. In fact, if we are unable to recover money on your case, you owe us nothing. Throughout the course of your case, our office lays out the costs of litigation.
New York medical malpractice attorney’s fees are set by the legislature, as outlined below. If we recover money for you, our office takes the standard New York medical malpractice attorney’s fees from the recovery as follows:

30 percent on the first $250,000 of the sum recovered,

25 percent on the next $250,000 of the sum recovered,

20 percent on the next $500,000 of the sum recovered,

15 percent on the next $250,000 of the sum recovered,

10 percent on any amount over $1,250,000 of the sum recovered;

Simply put, for the first $1.25 million in recovery, our attorney’s fees are $275,000. Beyond this amount, we take 10% of the sum recovered.
